Meet the four core organisers behind Sweden Innovation Days including Vinnova – Sweden’s Innovation Agency, the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas – a Swedish research council for sustainable development and SISP – Sweden’s Incubators.
Vinnova – Sweden’s Innovation Agency
For us, innovation is about bold thinking and doing things differently to improve people's lives and our planet. We believe innovation is needed everywhere in society. This will make Sweden competitive and our world a different place. Vinnova is a government agency under the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise, and the national contact authority for the EU framework programme for research and innovation. We’re also the Swedish Government's expert authority in innovation policy.
Swedish Energy Agency
The Swedish Energy Agency is a government agency responsible for matters around the supply and use of energy in Sweden. The agency is Sweden’s largest public funder and facilitator of sustaintech companies, supporting national business development that allows for commercialisation and export of promising innovations. They also support research on new and renewable energy technologies, smart grids, vehicles, and fuels of the future.
Formas – A Swedish research council for sustainable development
Formas is a government research council for sustainable development. We fund research and innovation, develop strategies, perform analyses and conduct evaluations. Specialising in environment, agricultural sciences and spatial planning, they conduct evidence syntheses analyses that aim to make it easier for Sweden to achieve its environmental objectives. Formas also communicates research and research results.
SISP
Swedish Incubators and Science Parks (SISP) is Sweden’s industry association for incubators and science parks. Through strong collaboration between their members and Sweden’s leading universities, private sector actors, public organizations, and customers, SISP aims to develop the world’s most effective innovation ecosystem and tackle today’s biggest challenges.
